About the Academy
The Academy is over 100 years old, with surviving members from the first 10 years of its history. The members of the Academy are considered the Elite of Yakunan. Oftentimes, an Academy member at the age of 13 will be stronger than an average jounin. The locations of the Academy is unknown to all that are not students or teachers, but it is actually inside the Yakukun Building.
The Graduates
The 'graduates' are seperated into several groups, the most prominent are:
Stealth: Gathers information of what is occuring in a village: The most elite group due to the peril of this mission.
War: By far the largest group full of extremely powerful individuals. They attack opposing forces with no mercy considered. Mercy is rewarded with death in this group.
Healing: The Healers travel with each group, though the group NEVER knows the Healers are there. The Healers follow the groups as those within the group have very few healing jutsu.
Recruiters: The most under-appreciated group, Recruiters travel through each village and, when a potential student is found, they go back to Yakunan and present the child to the Yakukun, who then decide if the child is 'good enough' to join the Academy.
Teaching: These individuals travel the world, teaching others about things that may be considered ' fairy tales', like the legends of the Bijuu or the histories of villages, but they are almost always 100% true.
Defenders: The Defenders protect Yakunan and its inhabitants from danger. Defenders would give up their life for the village.
Travelers: This group travels the world and searches for anything new or unusual, and bring the information back to Yakunan so they can give out missions to retrieve the new/unusual thing.
Hunters: The same as ANBU, but the age limit is 16-30, assuring the best performance whilst hunting down criminals or runaways.
Classes in the Academy
The classes in the Academy vary from mathematics to literature, from mythology to jutsus; Jutsus are for those that are the 'elite of the elite', meaning only the very best students. Those that aren't the Elite, though, are considered more desirable as they have enough Elite to last quite a while. Those that study anything but Jutsu are often the most valuable in the times of war and famine, as they will be able to successfully infiltrate enemy villages and, in the times of famine, will be able to solve the problem in the most quick and efficient way.
